Certified Pedorthist

Joann is a military veteran having served in Desert Shield with the United States Navy. At a young age, she put her customer service and organization skills to work as the office manager in a bicycle shop in Lodi, Calif. Returning home from her service, Joann worked on the web team for the California Department of Education while attending California State University, Sacramento where she majored in business with a concentration in Management Information Systems. Overcoming the challenges of entering the IT job market during the dot-com bust, she secured a position in retail orthopedic footwear sales in Stockton, Calif. prior to moving the Fresno, Calif. Her experience in orthopedic sales led to a long-standing position with Roxanne’s Birkenstock store. While her bookkeeping and customer service skills led to several positions in accounting in the Fresno area, her love of shoes kept her employed at Roxanne’s for more than 13 years.

Returning to Stockton for her residency, Joann became a certified Pedorthist through the American Board for Certification on Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics in 2016. Desiring to surround herself with highly trained, specialized professionals, Joann left her California roots to join the Access Prosthetics team in Green Bay. Joann spends her time outside the office reading and enjoying a variety of outdoor activities with her beagle, Vinnie.
