Kimberly Gorbutt, CO

Certified Orthotist, Resident Prosthetist

Kim’s incredible care for her patients is built on a solid foundation of prosthetic and orthotic experience. She first discovered her interest in prosthetics and orthotics as an undergrad at Michigan Technical University (MTU) while participating in a physical therapy internship. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science degree from MTU in 2011 and immediately went on to earn her Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics degree from the University of Washington in Seattle.

While in Seattle she experienced a variety of clinical settings, including level one trauma centers, children’s hospitals, and small private practices. Upon completion of her MPO in 2013, Kim came back to Michigan, completing her orthotic residency in the University of Michigan Health System. This experience gave her exposure to all aspects of orthotic treatment, from acute care trauma settings to weekly pediatric and polio clinics. This experience broadened Kim’s understanding and honed her skills as a hands-on provider.

In 2015, Kim became a certified Orthotist through the American Board for Certification on Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. She is also a member of, and a certified Orthotist through the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. While not at work Kim enjoys many outdoor activities and volunteering in the community.
